Taste the story of Ireland’s oldest brewing family with our core range, including the globally acclaimed Maltings Irish Red Ale — crowned Best Draught Ale in the World in 2017/18. Our rotating guest taps showcase the finest Irish and international brews, making us one of only two dedicated craft beer pubs in Kilkenny.
Grab a Bite
Our menu is made for sharing and savouring. We’re talking hand-stretched stone-baked pizzas, burgers made with locally reared beef, wings, salads and loaded fries. We cater for all tastes with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-friendly options, along with a dedicated children’s menu for younger guests. Food is served seven days a week until 9 pm.
Beer Garden
Reserve your outdoor table or booth in our extremely popular beer garden, complete with big screen TVs for game days. One of the best (if not the best) outdoor areas in town! Covered and heated during the cold weather and opened up into a sun trap during the summer months. Dog friendly and ideal for families during the day and early evening.
Secret Garden
Available for private parties and functions, and our Secret Garden area offers a private event space with a combination of table options with seating for up to 120 guests. Perfect for all your celebrations, such as weddings, day twos, birthdays, retirements, bon voyages and corporate events. Our Secret Garden is also complete with large screen TVs, heaters and audio mock up. Live music is available on request.
Live Music & Sport
Enjoy live music at least three days a week featuring talented local and travelling musicians. We also screen major sporting events year-round — including GAA, Premier League, Six Nations, URC and many more — creating the perfect backdrop to a great pint.
