Your private brewery experience begins with a tasting tray of Sullivan’s three core craft beers, including our award-winning Maltings Irish Red Ale — honoured as Best Draught Ale in the World (2017/18).
With each 284ml pour, your Brewing Seanchaí will guide you through the flavour journey, brewing methods and locally sourced ingredients that define our signature Sullivan’s Brewing Company style. This is your chance to ask questions and explore the brewing process in more depth.
Over 300 Years of Brewing History
Enjoy a more conversational storytelling session curated around your group’s interests. From our beginnings in 1702, the spirited characters behind the brewery, to the extraordinary revival of Kilkenny’s brewing heritage in 2016, you’ll hear the full story up close. Whether your group is fascinated by the traditional brewing craft or modern innovation, your guide will tailor the experience to suit.

While production access is restricted due to health and safety, your private group enjoys excellent visibility of the brewery from our viewing area. With more time for discussion and insight, you’ll gain a fuller appreciation of how craft beer comes to life at Sullivan’s, where centuries-old techniques meet today’s brewing excellence.
Sullivan’s Taproom and Food
Sullivan’s Taproom serves food until 9pm daily, with handcrafted pizzas, burgers and wings – the perfect way to relax and refuel after your tour! All beers contain gluten and tastings are offered strictly to those aged 18 or over.
The venue is fully wheelchair accessible.
Great family day out. Really enjoyed it. Great experience, guides were very helpful and professional but made it fun as well. Our tour went from Boley bay as there was an eastern wind but next time we will go to see the opposite side of the peninsula.
